Title: Just Keep Driving
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lucklessforhim
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 672
Summary: That's the same road, the same road, that I'm on.
Disclaimer: I do not own Supernatural or any of it's characters and I am making no money writing this. It's just for fun.
Note: Okay, y'all. The second installment of my Dean/Jo series following BUABS. Title and summary from the 3 Doors Down song "The Road I'm On." These stories were originally supposed to be parts of one long story, but since I decided to split them up, they won't all be the same. What I mean is, tone and quality will probably vary quite a bit. This one is a filler one-shot between some good stuff coming up, so please give it a read!

When you see this message, post in your journal with your favorite Season 5 SPN quote.

"When I would get sick, you would make me tomato rice soup, 'cause that's what your mom made you. And instead of a lullaby, you would sing 'Hey Jude.' That's your favorite Beatles song."

FIRST AND FOREMOST, I am watching SUPERNATURAL LIVE TONIGHT! Say it with me..."YAY!" I haven't been able to do that in quite a while. Actually, I don't think I've watched live since...5.10. (*sniffles*) But tonight I shall watch, and hopefully I do not hate Kripke as I have in the past.

Second, I got a Dreamwidth account yesterday, but I obviously don't understand the concept of making a cool and simple username for things. I mean, my LJ is completely random, email and AIM are odd to say the least, and Dreamwidth IS IN FRENCH. So...yeah. I need to get better at this business. If I could shorten it, oh I would. But until I figure out how to do that, I am "amoureux_politique" over there. Once I link the accounts, I'll do a test post over here from there.

Third, I am about to bake a cake and that makes me happy.

Lastly, I am entering the OMG SHOOT ME NOW phase of the semester and I have 3 papers due before April 30th. Loving thoughts for my sanity are welcomed and appreciated.

So...I know many on my f-list are Buffy people, too...

The Roomie and I are re-watching the Season 7 DVDs and I noticed something. It could just be me, but I saw a lot of similarities between Nikki Wood and John Winchester. I mean, let's break it down... )

Cut for spoilers! )
amoureux_politique: (Dean - doorbell)
I have them on the brain today. Right now I'm actually watching a show about seven signs of the apocalypse on the History Channel. One of them is...earthquakes. Now, I'm not generally one to be like "OMG! I SEE THE SIGN." But...Um. Haiti, Chile, I think there was a big one in Indonesia? I'm not saying anything, but...I'm just saying. It's weird.

All this could be because of this really awesome apocalypse fic that I read into the wee hours of the morning. It is [livejournal.com profile] obeetaybee's i used to know you so well and it is GORGEOUS. It's Girl!Sam/Dean, Girl!Sam/Sam and Sam/Dean, which I didn't really think I would ever read. But I did and I LOVED IT. Now, trust me, at the end of the story it's not as much of a mindfuck as the pairings make it sound.

And that reminded me of another post-apocalyptic fic that I loved, And Far Away by [livejournal.com profile] who_favor_fire. I just...loved this so much. Dean and her original character Alex are a striking pair to read about. I could go on about all the reasons why this one rocks, but I'll just say this: READ IT.

Now, to continue this theme, I shall watch the latest Supernatural. :-) [EDIT: I can't get Supernatural to work right now. I dunno what's up. All the links are either shady or they've been removed and the CW site isn't working either. So I will not be seeing it until next weekend when I go home to my mom's DVR. No spoilers please. :-)]

I have NOT finished the paper. Not even close. I have approximately 28 hours left to achieve this.

    But...

    I'm watching the episode anyway.

    Checklist:
    Chocolate...Check.
    Tissues...Check.
    TV on CW...Check.

I think I'm set. Bring it on, Kripke.

Title: Some things…will never be Right.
    Rating: Adult (probably R)
    Author: [livejournal.com profile] lucklessforhim
    Pairing: Dean/Jo
Warnings/Spoilers: AU. No spoilers, really. Can take place whenever your little heart desires. :)
Summary: "To this day, I don't know *how* I knew, but I did. I just…did."
Note: SO nervous about this one. Seriously. Feedback and constructive criticism is very much appreciated! Title adapted from the song "Rain" by Patty Griffin. I highly suggest listening to it.

Also! Thanks so much to [livejournal.com profile] beyond_wonder for the beta and encouragement to post!

On some level, I always knew it would turn into something neither of us meant for it to become. )

Eight hours until NEW SUPERNATURAL! I am so freaking excited for new Jensen! (And cautiously optimistic about the apocalyptic storyline.)

Also, #LuciferIsComing and #Supernatural were both trending topics on Twitter. *LAUGHS* P. Diddy ACCIDENTALLY started a counter-movement a short time ago by posting this:

"I'm calling GODS ARMY TO ATTENTION!! #GODISHERE #GODISHERE #GODISHERE let the devil know the fight he's in for! Retweet all day! Make GOD #1"

Now, I am a Christian and I can respect the sentiment, definitely, but...IT'S SO RIDICULOUS! P. DIDDY! And he didn't even know what he was RESPONDING to! Man...You can't make stuff like that up.

Title: It Started on a Fourth of July
    Rating: PG-13
    Author: lucklessforhim
    Pairing: Dean/Jo
    Prompt: July 2009: Summer Vacation
Summary: Two important turning points in Dean and Jo's relationship.
Warnings/Spoilers: AU. Not sure when it drops off the timeline, but it's probably safe to say nothing beyond late S2 has happened the way it did on the show.
Feedback: PLEASE leave me a comment with constructive criticism or to let me know you enjoyed it!

Note: My very first ever completed and posted fic! I don't have a beta, so you might find a couple of hiccups. The idea for this [livejournal.com profile] spn_het_love Challenge Response came to me while I was on vacation (how appropriate). I am WAY out of practice at writing anything but political science essays, so please help me out by giving me some feedback. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy it!

It was the Fourth of July the first time... )

    OMG, OMG, OMG!

    OMG.

Less than a month until there is NEW Supernatural!

I have high hopes for the fifth season, but I am trying to remain cautiously optimistic. Eric Kripke has disappointed me before. But it's best not to dwell in the past. I mean, he's put some amount of work into weaving the elaborate storyline that has gotten us to the point where the fourth season ended. I can only hope that is a good sign.

Besides, it's not like I *actually* watch for the PLOT. Pffft, please! Who needs that when, last September viewers were treated to one of the most glorious natural wonders in ALL THE LAND -- Jensen Ackles' Abs. (Jared isn't a chore to watch either!) I will watch no matter what just to see my favorite boy and the sexiest car on television.

I woke up this morning perfectly content to work on my fics. And I did that...for a while.

My own personal Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day )

A storm rolled in today. We've been going through a drought lately and are almost a foot behind on our expected rainfall since May. It seemed almost fitting that while I talked to my crying mother on the phone, the lightning and thunder roared and the rain poured on the other side of the window.

    Nashville!

I have been visiting the Sister since Saturday, in Nashville, and it has been SO nice. I do a lot of the same things as I do at home, but now I do them at my sister's house and have two dogs (one lovely, one dumb) and a cat (who I am convinced is my soulmate) and my sister and brother-in-law around to keep me company. (During the day it's just me and the animals, though.) Also, the people here are SANE. That's such a nice change of pace from my neurotic mother.

All in all, been a pretty good vacation so far. We're headed to the in-laws house in
Alabama tomorrow and will be taking the route that goes through Chattanooga and Atlanta, which I am excited to see. ALSO, we're eating breakfast at the Pancake Pantry, which is like, super-famous in the world of breakfast foods.

UGH. It's times like these that I wish I was married so I would have someone to wake up and talk to me. Maybe hold me too. I just had a nightmare, and can now not got back to sleep. I am very tired. As you might notice, it is 4:15 in the AM.

I actually went to bed earlier than usual, if you can believe it! (And tried to spell earlier, 'earlyer'.)

I was awoken recently by a rather vivid dream the details of which i shall divulge when it is daylight and the shadows can't get to me. I decided to leave my room and check the doors. (I only did it once, I'm proud to say.) My secondary mission was to bring back the fireplace poker i used to sleep with. It wasn't hanging on the thing, so i figure its already in the room here. However, I could not come back empty-handed. I have another fireplace instrument instead.

UGH. Why can I not jujst have pleasant dreams with naked men in them. And if only Dean Winchester were real, so that he could fight them away.
