Happy 234th Birthday America!
Happy Independence Day to all the Americans on my f-list! I hope you had a hot dog and enjoyed the festivities or a relaxing day at home (which is totally just as good)! I myself spent most of the day driving, but I was able to relax with some friends.
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays because any day I get to celebrate a fancy "fuck you" note being delivered to King George III...well, that's a good day. Especially when there's beer and good friends. I love America (much as we may screw up), and I especially love the ideals that my country's Founders stood up for 234 years ago.
I was planning to do a much longer post about how awesome America is (because it is, we just sometimes meed reminding of that), but...I am SUPER tired! So, until later my friends.
(PS: One day soon you might get a post all about hurricanes. Does that interest ANYONE? Oh...and fic. One day. Soonish. Of the John/Jo variety most likely...)
OH YEAH...I almost forgot, fireworks are illegal where I am and the neighbors keep setting them off. Loudly. Near low-hanging, dry trees. YAY. D:

Hurricanes try to eat MY hometown, too! The last major one (Ike in '08), my mom was without power for 16 DAYS. Craziness.
And the John/Jo is...slow coming. But it's a gift and it has a deadline, so it WILL be done sometime this month! Eee! It feels like forever since I posted anything! I'm nervous...
